Responsibilities & Key Tasks
As HSE Officer, you play an important role in identifying risks and implementing and monitoring preventive measures. You work closely with employees in all layers and departments to ensure a safe working environment and further develop and support the HSE policy. You are a crucial link in promoting a proactive safety culture within the company through your operational drive and actively contribute to raising safety awareness at all levels.
- Identify risks and perform risk analyses, both on a structural basis and in response to specific situations or incidents
- Provide support in the implementation of preventive measures and monitor compliance within the various departments
- Support the development and implementation of safety programs and HSE policy by raising awareness and training employees
- Prepare safety instruction cards (SIC's) and contribute to the safe commissioning of work equipment by identifying risks and proposing appropriate preventive actions
- Actively participate in internal and external audits and advise on further optimizations in the area of safety and prevention
- Act as a first point of contact for employees with questions about safety and well-being and support them in complying with applicable safety regulations
- Report safety findings and suggest continuous improvements in line with legislation and company objectives
- Provide administrative support to the department in facilitation of legal obligations and/or certificates
- Reporting to the Prevention Advisor
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Level II Prevention Advisor
- Practical and hands-on attitude; you are not shy to enter the workplace
- You think in terms of risks and in solutions
- Good communication skills to interact with various levels
- Proactive attitude
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations within safety and prevention
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English both verbally and in writing is a requirement
