Performing, controlling and monitoring assembly during the execution phase with the subcontractor and managing the post fabrication process together with your team

Providing mechanical support to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities, focusing on plant maintenance and reliability.

Develop in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques for production facilities, particularly within a glass manufacturing environment

Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all relevant equipment to maximise uptime and reduce unplanned downtime

Work closely with production management to prioritise corrective maintenance and quickly address and resolve mechanical issues

Proactively identify potential improvements in maintenance processes and provide ideas to improve equipment efficiency, longevity and safety
- Act as primary technical contact in the event of major breakdowns, providing hands-on support and coordinating with internal teams and external service providers as required
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance logs, repair histories and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Lead initiatives to improve yield, efficiency and quality by recommending and implementing innovative maintenance strategies
- Work with the purchasing department to oversee the procurement of spare parts, tools and maintenance materials to ensure the necessary resources are always available
- Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments and external suppliers to ensure efficient communication and coordination of maintenance activities
- Report to the Technical Manager on maintenance activities, equipment status and improvement projects
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electromechanics,...
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance or technical support role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with team members, department heads and external suppliers
- Project management skills, with the ability to organise and prioritise maintenance tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other departments and teams
- Skill in maintenance management software and familiarity with systems such as Microsoft Projects, SAP, Scada Controls, AutoCAD and the ability to create simulations
