Transport Planner

As a Transport Planner at Ciner Glass Belgium, you will be responsible for efficiently organising and coordinating daily transport activities. This role ensures that raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products arrive at their destination on time and safely, within the set budgets and in line with customer expectations.
Working closely with production, supply chain and external partners, you will contribute to a high-performance and reliable logistics chain within a fast-growing environment. Are you a strong planner, able to work under pressure and ready to help build the logistics heart of our glass factory? Then you may be the flessenier we are looking for.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks
- Drawing up transport schedules for incoming and outgoing goods
- Optimising loading and routing schedules to minimise costs and delivery times
- Managing and monitoring internal and external transporters
- Maintaining contact with drivers to ensure they receive the correct information and support
- Monitoring the progress of shipments and resolving any delays or problems
- Ensuring correct transport documentation and compliance with laws and regulations
- Processing transport documents such as waybills and delivery confirmations
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Experience as a transport planner or dispatcher, preferably in an industrial environment
- Experience with multimodal transport such as inland shipping/rail is an advantage
- Experience with TMS systems (Transport Management Systems)
- Strong organisational skills, good communication skills and flexible attitude
- You have a great understanding of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- You can work well under pressure and know how to prioritise in a dynamic work environment
