As a Batch & Furnace Manager at Ciner Glass, you’ll have the unique opportunity to help build a state-of-the-art glass factory from the ground up.
In this key role, you are responsible for the heart of our production: the melting furnaces and batch installations.
You ensure that everything (from raw materials to molten glass) runs safely, stably, and efficiently.
You combine technical expertise with people skills and actively contribute to innovation, sustainability, and team development.

Responsibilities & Key Tasks
Operational Management
• Daily management of the batch house and furnaces, focusing on consistent quality and output.
• Monitoring melting cycles, temperature control, and batch composition.
• Quick response to malfunctions and close collaboration with maintenance and technical teams.
• Analyzing process data, performing root cause analyses, and initiating improvement actions.
Quality and Safety
• Ensuring the quality of raw materials, batch preparation, and glass melting.
• Active participation in audits, inspections, and quality controls.
• Maintaining a safe workplace, implementing LOTO procedures and environmental regulations.
Leadership and Team Development
• Coaching and motivating a multidisciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and operators.
• Planning work schedules and capacity in line with production needs.
• Promoting a culture of feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimization and Innovation
• Contributing to investment projects, technological innovation, and energy savings.
• Translating trends and data into concrete actions and improvement projects.
• Close collaboration with production, logistics, maintenance, and laboratory.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical technology, process engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial production environment (glass, ceramics, metal, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of furnaces, batch processes, and automation.
• Experience with quality and safety systems (HSE, ISO, HACCP).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Leadership with a people-oriented approach.
• Willingness to be involved in a 24/7 production environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
